La Rioja Alta, S.A. rounds off its 125th anniversary with the 'Q' for tourism quality

La Rioja Alta, S.A. wrapped up the year in which it celebrates 125 vintages with great news: the award of the 'Q' for tourism quality. The Haro winery just received this major distinction after amply passing the audit carried out by ICTE (Instituto para la Calidad Turística Española), an agency under the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, which grants this quality award.

For several months, the Institute assessed both the facilities and the work of the wine tourism staff in the winery, confirming that the service is provided with the utmost quality, safety and professionalism. All of it to ensure the best possible tourist experience for visitors.

The award of the renowned 'Q' for tourist quality endorses the decided commitment of La Rioja Alta, S.A. to quality tourism which, in recent years, has led to the execution of an ambitious three-year plan (2012-2015) allocating €800,000 to creating, renovating and adapting spaces for wine tourism purposes, as well as expanding opening hours and the frequency of guided tours or designing a Premium Tours programme.

Although final figures are not ready yet, La Rioja Alta, S.A. is clearly going to amply exceed in 2015 the number of visitors welcomed in its facilities in 2014, which reached the 10,000 wine tourists mark.
